This tour is best suited for ages 12 and up
Join us for an exclusive look at how Main Street Children's Museum came to be! Participants are invited to join us and learn about the importance of play, the role of children's museums in communities, the artist who inspired Main Street Children's Museum, Vernon Grant, and how we use play every day to prepare young learners for the world. Participants will also be able to view the original artworks that inspired our playscapes and see how they have come to life. Following the tour, there will be time for Q&A and PLAY! Light refreshments will be served. Tour Guides: Sarah Lewis, Site Director for Museum of York County and Main Street Children's Museum & Jillian Bingham, Director of Collections for Culture & Heritage Museums.
